Asian stock markets settled higher on Thursday, following on from Wall Street's enthusiastic reception of US President Donald Trump's speech to Congress.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 went up 171.26 points or 0.88 percent to settle at 19,564.80. Singapore's Straits Times gained 13.71 points or 0.44 percent to end at 3,136.48.
South Korea's KOSPI went up 11.01 points or 0.53 percent to end at 2,102.65. Taiwan's TAIEX rose 17.02 points or 0.18 percent to end at 9,691.80.
On the other hand, China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite declined 16.91 points or 0.52 percent to close at 3,230.03. Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 48.42 points or 0.2 percent to end at 23,728.07.
