European stock markets are trading mixed on Monday, bucking the positive trend set in Asia as investors tread cautiously after a strong week of gains.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 went up 1.79 points or 0.06 percent to trade at 3,252.10. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 lost 33.04 points or 0.51 percent to trade at 6,383.12.
While Germany's benchmark index DAX rose 49.97 points or 0.49 percent to trade at 10,146.57. French benchmark index CAC 40 lost 15.71 points or 0.33 percent to trade at 4,685.68.
On Friday, European stock markets closed higher. EURO STOXX 50 gained 25.35 points or 0.78 percent to settle at 3,250.31. FTSE 100 gained 41.34 points or 0.64 percent to close at 6,416.16.
