European stock markets are trading lower on Friday as investors react to sharp falls in China's stock markets and mull the idea of more stimulus from the European Central Bank (ECB) when it meets next week.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 declined 21.62 points or 0.62 percent to trade at 3,477.00. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 fell 39.31 points or 0.61 percent to trade at 6,353.82.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX declined 53.19 points or 0.47 percent to trade at 11,267.58. French benchmark index CAC 40 declined 33.05 points or 0.67 percent to trade at 4,912.97.
On Thursday, European stock markets settled higher. EURO STOXX 50 gained 36.56 points or 1.04 percent to settle at 3,498.62. FTSE 100 gained 55.49 points or 0.87 percent to close at 6,393.13.
