European stock markets are trading sharply higher on Monday after Asian stocks rally following a weak U.S. employment report that dampened expectations from U.S. Federal Reserve to hike the interest rates.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 jumped 70.47 points or 2.28 percent to trade at 3,158.65. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 120.41 points or 1.96 percent to trade at 6,250.39.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX jumped 200.46 points or 2.1 percent to trade at 9,753.53. French benchmark index CAC 40 jumped 117.99 points or 2.65 percent to trade at 4,576.87.
On Friday, European stock markets closed higher. EURO STOXX 50 rose 19.13 points or 0.62 percent to settle at 3,088.18. FTSE 100 rose 57.51 points or 0.94 percent to close at 6,129.98.
