European stock markets settled mixed on Monday. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 rose 43.99 points or 1.18 percent to settle at 3,718.04.

While UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 lost 8.32 points or 0.12 percent to close at 7,052.13. Germany's benchmark index DAX rose 203.21 points or 1.74 percent to end at 11,891.91.

Meanwhile, French benchmark index CAC 40 gained 44.33 points or 0.86 percent to end at 5,187.59.
