European stock markets closed higher on Friday, a day after minutes from the Federal Reserve's September policy meeting confirmed the U.S. central bank's reluctance to lift interest rates amid slowing global growth and stubbornly low inflation.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 gained 25.35 points or 0.78 percent to settle at 3,250.31. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 41.34 points or 0.64 percent to close at 6,416.16.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX rose 103.53 points or 1.04 percent to end at 10,096.60. French benchmark index CAC 40 gained 25.48 points or 0.54 percent to end at 4,701.39.
