Asian stock markets closed sharply higher on Friday. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 jumped 411.35 points or 2.39 percent to settle at 17,621.40. While China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite gained 51.07 points or 1.67 percent to close at 3,108.60.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 284.42 points or 1.25 percent to end at 23,116.63. Singapore's Straits Times went up 38.89 points or 1.2 percent to end at 3,282.54.  South Korea's KOSPI went up 32.48 points or 1.71 percent to end at 1,929.98. Taiwan's TAIEX rose 120.89 points or 1.36 percent to end at 8,999.52.
