Asian stock markets are trading mixed on Friday on the back of weak economic data but airline stocks outperformed as oil prices extended their slide. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 went up 158.39 points or 0.92 percent to trade at 17,406.89.
While China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite lost 5.33 points or 0.2 percent to trade at 2,625.16. The index has recorded a high of 2,641.10 and a low of 2,622.06 after opening at 2,629.63 (09:37pm EST).
Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 78.91 points or 0.33 percent to trade at 23,925.37. The index has recorded a high of 23,993.87 and a low of 23,913.92 after opening at 23,982.29 (09:37pm EST).
Singapore's Straits Times went up 7.94 points or 0.24 percent to trade at 3,348.90. The index has seen a high of 3,350.20 and a low of 3,341.89 after opening at 3,346.52 (09:32pm EST).
South Korea's KOSPI declined 3.82 points or 0.19 percent to trade at 1,978.27. The index has seen a high of 1,984.73 and a low of 1,975.66 after opening at 1,983.22 (09:52pm EST).
Taiwan's TAIEX gained 14.21 points or 0.16 percent to trade at 9,179.52. The index has witnessed a high of 9,201.80 and a low of 9,158.28 after opening at 9,163.19 (09:32pm EST).
