Indian rupee has depreciated against US dollar on Thursday. Local currency fell 17 paise or 0.25 percent against dollar to settle at 67.07.
Rupee has witnessed a high of 66.91 and a low of 67.09. Its 52-week range was 66.07-68.86.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, fell 100.00 percent.
Local stock markets ended higher on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex gained 145.71 or 0.52% at 28,301.27 with 21 components registering rise.
Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went up by 53.30 or 0.61% at 8,778.00 with 38 components posting rise.
