Rupee gains against US dollar, rises to 64.36

Indian rupee has strengthened against US dollar on Monday. Local currency gained 7 paise or 0.11 percent against dollar to trade at 64.36.

Rupee has witnessed a high of 64.32 and a low of 64.40. Its 52-week range was 63.93-68.86.

The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, 0.00 percent to trade at 97.17.

On Friday, rupee has strengthened against US dollar. Local currency went up 11 paise or 0.17 percent against dollar to settle at 64.43.
