Indian rupee has appreciated against US dollar on Monday. Local currency rose 21 paise or 0.32 percent against dollar to settle at 65.30.
Rupee has witnessed a high of 65.20 and a low of 65.33. Its 52-week range was 60.91-66.89.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, 0.00 percent to settle at 95.83.
Local stocks market ended sharply higher on Monday, extending the rally for fourth day on the back of positive global cues. Both Sensex and Nifty traded above 1-month high. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex gained 564.60 points or 2.15% at 26,785.55. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty climbed by 168.40 points or 2.12% at 8,119.30.
