Indian rupee has weakened against US dollar in early trade on Monday. Local currency fell 5 paise or 0.08 percent against dollar to trade at 64.78.
Rupee has witnessed a high of 64.70 and a low of 64.81. Its 52-week range was 60.94-66.89.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, fell 0.06 percent to trade at 94.75.
On Friday, rupee gained 34 paise or 0.52 percent against dollar to settle at 64.74.
Local stocks markets flat on Monday. At 9.40 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 15.33 points or 0.06% at 27,064.18. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 1.95 points or 0.02% at 8,191.65.
