Indian rupee has weakened against US dollar on Monday. Local currency declined 13 paise or 0.20 percent against dollar to trade at 64.58.

Rupee has witnessed a high of 64.50 and a low of 64.59. Its 52-week range was 63.93-68.86.

The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, rose 0.35 percent to trade at 17.00.

On Friday, rupee has appreciated against US dollar. Local currency went up 18 paise or 0.28 percent against dollar to settle at 64.45.
