Indian rupee fell against US dollar marginally on Friday as the Federal Reserve's positive view on rate hike in this year supported the dollar sentiments. Local currency declined 2 paise or 0.03 percent against dollar to trade at 64.06. Rupee has witnessed a high of 63.99 and a low of 64.10. Its 52-week range was 60.20-64.30.

The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, declined 0.18 percent to trade at 97.38.

On Thursday, rupee has declined 14 paise or 0.22 percent against dollar to settle at 64.04.

Commenting on the currency outlook, Emkay Commotrade said, ''USDINR likely to remain firm above Rs 64.40 levels, buying on dips is suggested with stop loss below 63.80.''
