Indian rupee has depreciated against US dollar on Friday. Local currency fell 5 paise or 0.08 percent against dollar to trade at 64.68.
Rupee has witnessed a high of 64.66 and a low of 64.73. Its 52-week range was 63.93-68.86.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, declined 0.10 percent to trade at 95.53.
On Thursday, rupee has declined 8 paise or 0.12 percent against dollar to settle at 64.63.
Local stock markets dropped on Friday erasing earlier gains. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading below 1-month low. At 9.21 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 152.71 points or 0.49% at 30,704.81 with 20 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 25.60 points or 0.27% at 9,478.50 with 36 components falling.
