Indian rupee has depreciated on Friday against US dollar. Indian currency declined 16 paise or 0.26 percent against dollar to settle at 62.03.
Rupee has witnessed a high of 61.88 and a low of 62.08. Its 52-week range was 58.34-63.31.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, rose 0.50 percent to settle at 88.05.
Indian market settled on a cheerful note on Friday led by sharp fall in brent crude. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex added 255.08 points or 0.90% at 28,693.99. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went up by 94.05 or 1.11% at 8,588.25.
