Dollar-rupee futures gained on Wednesday. USDINR August contract went up 13 paise or 0.2 percent at 64.36 as against previous close of 64.23.
The most active August contract witnessed a high of 64.41 and a low of 64.32 after opening at 64.35.
A total of 0.21 million contracts were traded till 10:00 pm. Turnover for August contract was at Rs13.52 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.12 million.
In spot market, rupee has declined 18 paise or 0.28 percent against dollar to trade at 64.31.
Local stock markets continued to rise for the second day on Wednesday. At 9.57 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 7.88 points or 0.03% at 31,456.91 with 12 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 9.10 points or 0.09% at 9,785.05 with 35 components falling.
