Dollar-rupee futures gained on Monday. USDINR May contract went up 11 paise or 0.17 percent at 64.57 as against previous close of 64.45.
The most active May contract recorded a high of 64.5925 and a low of 64.4825 after opening at 64.51.
A total of 0.12 million contracts were traded till 09:30 pm. Turnover for May contract was at Rs7.89 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 0.56 million.
In spot market, rupee has declined 13 paise or 0.20 percent against dollar to trade at 64.58.
Local stock markets dropped on Monday erasing earlier gains. At 9.24 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 16.24 points or 0.05% at 31,011.97 with 12 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 16.20 points or 0.17% at 9,578.90 with 19 components falling.
