Dollar-rupee futures appreciated on Friday against US dollar. USDINR March contract moved up 7 paise or 0.11 percent at 62.19 as against previous close of 62.12. The most active March contract touched a high of 62.235 and a low of 62.11 after opening at 62.13.
A total of 0.24 million contracts were traded till 10:14 pm. Turnover for March contract was at Rs 14.90 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.59 million.
Indian rupee has weakened on Friday against US dollar. Indian currency fell 7 paise or 0.11 percent against dollar to trade at 61.82. Rupee has witnessed a high of 61.75 and a low of 61.87. Its 52-week range was 58.34-63.89.
