Dollar-rupee futures depreciated on Friday against US dollar. USDINR February contract moved down 8 paise or 0.13 percent at 62.09 as against previous close of 62.16. The most active February contract recorded a high of 62.19 and a low of 62 after opening at 62.19.
A total of 0.5 million contracts were traded till 12:30 pm. Turnover for February contract was at Rs 31.12 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.52 million.
Indian rupee has appreciated on Friday against US dollar. Indian currency gained 14 paise or 0.23 percent against dollar to trade at 61.74. Rupee has witnessed a high of 61.71 and a low of 61.84. Its 52-week range was 58.34-63.89.
