Indian markets continued to trade higher on Friday tracking strong global cues. At 11.30 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 241.52 points or 0.9% at 27,087.58 with 28 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 64 points or 0.79% at 8,193.55 with 46 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Vedanta (9.64%), Hindalco Industries (3.78%), Tata Steel (3.43%), I C I C I Bank (3.07%), and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (2.04%).
On the other hand, Coal India (0.97%), Sun Pharma (0.62%), TCS (0.62%) and Wipro (0.47%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was positive with 1,408 advances against 419 declines.
