Allahabad Bank has received a communication from the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services regarding capital infusion of Rs 17.90 billion towards contribution of the Central Government in the preferential allotment of equity shares (Special Securities/Bonds) of the Bank during the financial year 2018-19, as Government's investment.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Jul. 18, 2018, falling 4.84% compared with the Sensex's 2.32% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 18.20% as against 5.95% rise in the Sensex.
Shares of the bank gained Rs 0.1, or 0.24%, to settle at Rs 41.10. The total volume of shares traded was 317,982 at the BSE (Thursday).
