US stock markets settled sharply lower on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 279.47 points or 1.54 percent to settle at 17,826.30.

While NASDAQ 100 index lost 67.03 points or 1.52 percent to close at 4,351.80.  The index has witnessed a high of 4,390.31 and a low of 4,333.11 after opening at 4,379.63.

The broader S&P 500 index fell 23.81 points or 1.13 percent to end at 2,081.18.  The index has witnessed a high of 2,102.58 and a low of 2,072.37 after opening at 2,102.58.
