Indian rupee has depreciated against US dollar on Tuesday. Local currency fell 8 paise or 0.12 percent against dollar to settle at 66.67.
Rupee has witnessed a high of 66.60 and a low of 66.74. Its 52-week range was 63.30-68.79.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, rose 0.15 percent to settle at 94.27.
Local stock markets ended higher on Tuesday. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex added 83.67 points or 0.33% to settle at 25,772.53 with 16 components posting rise. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went up by 21.75 points or 0.28% to settle at 7,887.80 with 27 components registering rise.
