The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won orders worth Rs 51.46 billion across various business segments.

The power transmission & distribution (PT&D) business has bagged major orders worth Rs 27.80 billion in the domestic & international markets across the wide array of its business spectrum.

The water and effluent treatment business has won orders worth Rs 12.92 billion.

The smart world & communication business has secured an order worth Rs 2.21 billion from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam to build Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure for Smart Transmission Network and Asset Management System in the state of Rajasthan.

The building and factories business has won orders worth Rs 5.34 billion. An order has been secured from a renowned developer to construct residential towers in Kolkata, West Bengal. The scope of works include entire civil, electrical and finishing works for four residential towers varying from 30 to 47 floors.

The metallurgical and material handling business has won orders worth Rs 3.19 billion. The business has bagged a prestigious engineering, procurement and construction order from Hindustan Zinc for their 1.5 MTPA Lead-Zinc Beneficiation Plant Phase III at S K Mines, Rajasthan. This repeat order reaffirms L&T's engineering and project execution capability in delivering EPC solutions in the beneficiation sector.

Additional orders have been received from various ongoing jobs of the business.

Shares of the company declined Rs 11.05, or 0.62%, to trade at Rs 1,776.95. The total volume of shares traded was 328,116 at the BSE (9.39 a.m., Tuesday).
