Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the equity segment worth Rs 5.19 billion on both BSE, NSE and MCX-SX on November 27, as per provisional data available at the BSE. They bought equities worth Rs 26.76 billion and sold equities worth Rs 31.96 billion.
On the other hand, domestic institutional investors (DIIs), which include banks, DFIs, insurance and MFs, were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 9 billion. They bought equities worth Rs 20.74 billion and sold equities worth Rs 11.73 billion.
Local stock markets settled sharply higher tracking mixed global cues on Friday. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex added 169.57 or 0.65% at 26,128.20 with 20 components posting rise. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went up by 58.90 or 0.75% at 7,942.70 with 34 components registering rise.
