Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the equity segment worth Rs 11.40 billion on both BSE, NSE and MCX-SX on June 29, as per provisional data available at the BSE. They bought equities worth Rs 68.33 billion and sold equities worth Rs 79.74 billion.
On the other hand, domestic institutional investors (DIIs), which include banks, DFIs, insurance and MFs, were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 6 billion. They bought equities worth Rs 47.28 billion and sold equities worth Rs 41.28 billion.
Local stock markets ended flat on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At the close, the 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex ended flat with a rise of 23.20 points or 0.08% at 30,857.52, 15 components registering rise. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went up by 12.85 or 0.14% at 9,504.10 with 26 components posting rise.
