Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the equity segment worth Rs 1.81 billion on both BSE, NSE and MCX-SX on April 27, as per provisional data available at the BSE. They bought equities worth Rs 63.40 billion and sold equities worth Rs 65.21 billion.
On the other hand, domestic institutional investors (DIIs), which include banks, DFIs, insurance and MFs, were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 2.33 billion. They bought equities worth Rs 38.62 billion and sold equities worth Rs 36.29 billion.
Local stock markets ended lower on Thursday erasing earlier gains. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex declined 103.61 or 0.34% at 30,029.74 with 21 components registering drop. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went down by 9.70 or 0.10% at 9,342.15.
