Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 21.19 billion on both BSE, NSE and MCX-SX on January 23, as per provisional data available at the BSE. They bought equities worth Rs 71.71 billion and sold equities worth Rs 51.51 billion.

While domestic institutional investors, which include banks, DFIs, insurance and MFs, were net sellers in the equity segment worth Rs 12.99 billion. They bought equities worth Rs 13.20 billion and sold equities worth Rs 26.20 billion.
