Dollar-rupee futures rise 5 paise in early trade

Dollar-rupee futures gained on Tuesday. USDINR March contract went up 5 paise or 0.08 percent at 65.49 as against previous close of 65.44.

The most active March contract recorded a high of 65.5075 and a low of 65.4075 after opening at 65.41.

A total of 0.06 million contracts were traded till 09:24 pm. Turnover for March contract was at Rs3.71 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.41 million.

In spot market, rupee has fell 7 paise or 0.11 percent against dollar to trade at 65.44.

Local stock markets bounced back on Tuesday snapping earlier losses. At 9.19 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 28.85 points or 0.10% at 29,547.59 with 18 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 7.10 points or 0.08% at 9,133.95 with 28 components gaining.
