Dollar-rupee futures declined on Thursday. USDINR July contract moved down 27 paise or 0.42 percent at 64.12 as against previous close of 64.39.
The most active July contract touched a high of 64.2575 and a low of 64.0525 after opening at 64.14.
A total of 0.27 million contracts were traded till 09:49 pm. Turnover for July contract was at Rs17.10 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 0.50 million.
In spot market, rupee has rose 25 paise or 0.39 percent against dollar to trade at 64.12.
Local stock markets continued to rally for the second day on Thursday. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading at a new life time high. At 9.39 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 195.44 points or 0.60% at 32,577.90 with 22 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 55.90 points or 0.56% at 10,076.55 with 40 components gaining.
