Dollar-rupee futures fall 14 paise in early trade

Dollar-rupee futures declined on Thursday. USDINR July contract moved down 14 paise or 0.22 percent at 64.69 as against previous close of 64.83.

The most active July contract recorded a high of 64.745 and a low of 64.675 after opening at 64.72.

A total of 0.1 million contracts were traded till 09:23 pm. Turnover for July contract was at Rs6.33 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.01 million.

In spot market, rupee has gained 9 paise or 0.14 percent against dollar to trade at 64.46.

Local stock markets bounced back on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At 9.17 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 146.88 points or 0.48% at 30,981.20 with 24 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 31.70 points or 0.33% at 9,522.95 with 44 components gaining.
