Asian stock markets are trading  lower on Monday. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 fell 5.68 points or 0.03 percent to trade at 19,647.20.

While China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite went up 59.79 points or 1.39 percent to trade at 4,347.08.  The index has recorded a high of 4,352.73 and a low of 4,238.43 after opening at 4,301.35 (11:07pm EDT).

Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 19.56 points or 0.07 percent to trade at 27,672.68.  The index has witnessed a high of 27,770.79 and a low of 27,474.73 after opening at 27,770.79 (11:07pm EDT).

Singapore's Straits Times lost 9.91 points or 0.28 percent to trade at 3,515.28.  The index has witnessed a high of 3,525.84 and a low of 3,508.86 after opening at 3,519.24 (11:02pm EDT).

South Korea's KOSPI lost 2.30 points or 0.11 percent to trade at 2,141.20.  The index has seen a high of 2,142.43 and a low of 2,126.55 after opening at 2,126.55 (11:02pm EDT).

Taiwan's TAIEX declined 15.86 points or 0.17 percent to trade at 9,555.07.  The index has seen a high of 9,565.64 and a low of 9,508.57 after opening at 9,541.83 (11:02pm EDT).
