While China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite declined 35.81 points or 1.07 percent to trade at 3,300.48. Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 2.25 points or 0.01 percent to trade at 24,885.19.

Singapore's Straits Times went up 23.07 points or 0.68 percent to trade at 3,426.96. South Korea's KOSPI went up 4.02 points or 0.2 percent to trade at 2,000.83. Taiwan's TAIEX declined 17.51 points or 0.18 percent to trade at 9,583.85. (10:20pm EST).
