Asian stock markets are trading  higher on Monday. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 gained 129.60 points or 0.64 percent to trade at 20,394.01.

While China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite gained 79.58 points or 1.71 percent to trade at 4,737.17.  The index has seen a high of 4,741.68 and a low of 4,656.82 after opening at 4,660.08 (10:13pm EDT).

Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 469.11 points or 1.7 percent to trade at 27,992.83. The index has seen a high of 28,041.32 and a low of 27,696.97 after opening at 27,723.67 (04:01am EDT).

Singapore's Straits Times rose 5.26 points or 0.15 percent to trade at 3,455.44.  The index has seen a high of 3,459.63 and a low of 3,451.64 after opening at 3,458.32 (10:08pm EDT).

South Korea's KOSPI rose 23.29 points or 1.1 percent to trade at 2,146.10.  The index has registered a high of 2,146.10 and a low of 2,126.88 after opening at 2,131.11 (05:03am EDT).

Taiwan's TAIEX went up 2.61 points or 0.03 percent to trade at 9,641.41.  The index has seen a high of 9,654.28 and a low of 9,589.32 after opening at 9,654.28 (10:08pm EDT).
