Indian markets bounced back on Friday snapping earlier losses. At 9.17 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 72.26 points or 0.23% at 31,976.66 with 19 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 26.30 points or 0.27% at 9,899.60 with 30 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Wipro (5.72%), Reliance Industries (2.09%), Infosys (0.74%), Tata Power Company (0.48%), Bajaj Auto (0.38%), and State Bank Of India (0.26%).
On the other hand, Bharti Airtel (1.51%), Cipla (0.60%), Hindustan Unilever (0.60%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (0.54%), Asian Paints (0.54%), and Coal India (0.31%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was positive with 554 advances against 284 declines.
Reliance Industries topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 110.45 million. It was followed by Jaiprakash Associates (Rs. 58.80 million), Wipro (Rs. 53.68 million) and Balaji Telefilms (Rs. 39.42 million).
The volume chart was led by Jaiprakash Associates with trades of over 2.40 million shares. It was followed by Videocon Industries (0.37 million), Sintex Industries (0.36 million) and Jaypee Infratech (0.35 million).
