Indian markets gained on Tuesday. At 9.30 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 147.30 points or 0.50% at 29,803.14. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 36.80 points or 0.40% at 9,254.75.

Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were M&M (2.10), Reliance Industries (1.95%), Wipro (1.45%), Power Grid Corporation of India (1.17%), HDFC (1.02%), Lupin (0.87%) and ICICI Bank (0.84%).

On the other hand, ITC (0.60%), GAIL (India) (0.35%), Tata Motors (0.25%) and Maruti (0.23%).
