Indian markets bounced back on Tuesday snapping earlier losses. At 9.44 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 19.23 points or 0.06% at 32,942.35 with 16 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 10.95 points or 0.11% at 10,105.20.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Tata Steel (3.33%), Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (1.03%), Tata Power Company (0.88%), Infosys (0.77%), Tata Motors (0.66%), and Bajaj Auto (0.62%).
On the other hand, Cipla (5.25%), Wipro (1.94%), Bharti Airtel (1.42%), NTPC (1.20%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.18%), and Kotak Mahindra Bank (0.91%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was negative with 642 advances against 913 declines.
IDFC topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 487.53 million. It was followed by Indusind Bank (Rs. 370.73 million), Infosys (Rs. 195.99 million) and I F C I (Rs. 189.95 million).
The volume chart was led by IDFC with trades of over 9.72 million shares. It was followed by I F C I (9.13 million), Karuturi Global (3.97 million) and Jaiprakash Associates (2.14 million).
