Indian markets ended lower on Tuesday. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex lost 241.41 or 0.66% at 36,153.62. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty fell by 57.40 or 0.53% at 10,831.40.

Major losers in the 30-share index were Hero MotoCorp (2.63%), Housing Development Finance Corp (2.18%), State Bank Of India (1.57%), and Infosys (1.47%).

On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (2.00%), Coal India (1.92%), Tata Steel (1.57%), NTPC (0.80) and Asian Paints (0.75%) were the biggest gainers in the Sensex..
