Wipro said that the company is planning to issue and allot 103,089 equity shares of Rs 2 each pursuant to exercise of the stock options by the eligible employees. This is under Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2005 and Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2007.
Also, the company will issue and allot 164,230 equity shares of par value of Rs 2 to JP Morgan Chase Bank, the company's depository as underlying shares in respect of ADRs to be issued and allocated to the purchasers, pursuant to the exercise of the stock options granted to the employees under the company's ADS Restricted Stock Unit Plan- 2004.
Shares of the company gained Rs 11.4, or 2.05%, to trade at Rs 567.75. The total volume of shares traded was 79,711 at the BSE (1.06 p.m., Tuesday).
