Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Digital India week. Vision of Digital India is to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy, the government said.
'Today we are taking a landmark step in our quest to create a Digital India,' Modi said. 'Digital India will enable investment of Rs 4.5 lakh crore, ensure jobs for 18 lakh people,' he added.
