Va Tech Wabag, engaged in the water treatment field, witnessed a rise in share price on Monday after the company announced that the company along with its JV partner, Belhasa Projects, won an EPC order in the water and waste water treatment space in Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) order for Al Madina Al Shamiliaya, the new town being development in Bahrain, is for a value of over Rs 5.80 billion.
The project is funded by Abu Shabi Fund for Economic Development (ADFD). Wabag will design and build the 40MLD Al Madina Al Shamaliya Sewage Treatment Plant for ministry of housing, Bahrain.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 810, up Rs 21, or 2.66% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 10:07 a.m.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 194.10% to 104,765 compared with 22-day average volume of 35,622.
