Vardhman Textiles standalone quarterly net plunges 59.51%

Vardhman Textiles said a drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 59.51% to Rs 709.50 million from Rs 1,752.40 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose marginally 2.53% to Rs 14,673.60 million, compared with Rs 14,312 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 11.15, registering 59.50% decline over previous year period.
