UTI Mutual Fund has picked 1.86% stake in Deccan Cements, a cement manufactuerer in South India, for Rs 50.69 million on Monday. UTI MF purchased 1, 30,000 shares, under its Mid-cap Fund, at a price of Rs 389.96 a share.
On the other hand, Minal Patel, one of the promoters of the company, has sold 1.30% stake for Rs 35.49 million. She sold 91,000 shares at a price of Rs 390 a share.
Shares of the company gained Rs 5.15, or 1.33%, to trade at Rs 391.95. The total volume of shares traded was 6,806 at the BSE (1.40 p.m., Tuesday).
