TVS Motor Company, one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in India, witnessed a sharp rise in share price on Thursday after the company recorded an 8% growth in sales for the month of June 2015 with total sales increasing from 205,403 units recorded in the month of June 2014 to 222,099 units in the month of June 2015.
The company's total exports grew by 26% with sales increasing from 34,103 units in the month of June 2014 to 43,025 units in June 2015. Two wheeler exports grew by 25% with sales increasing from 26,681 units in June 2014 to 33,233 units in June 2015.
Shares of the company gained Rs 10.05, or 4.09%, to trade at Rs 255.60. The total volume of shares traded was 199,385 at the BSE (10.15 a.m., Thursday).
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 468.37% to 2,113,946 compared with 22-day average volume of 371,929.
