TV18 Broadcast, engaged in the production and telecast of news and entertainment programs, said its net loss for the quarter ended June 2015 has narrowed to Rs 0.43 million.
Revenues for the quarter rose 13.06% to Rs 5,966.75 million, compared with Rs 5,277 million for the prior year period.
Operating PBDIT for Q1 FY16 stood at Rs 118 million compared to Rs 477 million in Q1 FY15.
ETV regional entertainment channels were successfully rebranded as Colors and the cost thereof has been expensed in the current quarter. Compared to Q1 FY15, the current quarter includes expenses of the recently launched six regional news channels.
Q1 FY15 financial performance vis-à-vis Q1 FY16 was significantly influenced by advertisement income on account of the General Elections.

Shares of the company declined Rs 3.25, or 7.69%, to trade at Rs 39. The total volume of shares traded was 2,541,478 at the BSE (1.15 p.m., Wednesday).
