Thermax, an Indian energy and environment engineering company, witnessed a rise in share price on Thursday after signing an agreement to acquire 33% stake in First Energy.
The agreement envisages stage-wise acquisition of First Energy by Thermax over the next four to six years.
Shares of Thermax are trading at Rs 1,074.30, up Rs 35.95, or 3.46% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 9:48 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,080 and low of Rs 1,052. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 3,009.
