TCS delivers Qantas new SaaS-based Oracle E-Business Suite Solution

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, today announced that it has successfully delivered Qantas  with an upgrade to Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (R12) provisioned in a Software as a Service model together with Macquarie Telecom.  The new cloud-based version of Oracle E-Business Suite will provide Qantas with key benefits including enhanced system functionality, reduced system management complexity and unification of vendors.

Qantas was utilizing the Oracle E-Business Suite R11 to support a range of business processes in the areas of Financials, Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management and Human Capital Management. TCS unified support and management of the application and upgraded the Oracle E-Business Suite to R12, with over 1,800 customizations. TCS also transitioned the Qantas’ Oracle E-Business Suite R12 to an end-to-end managed Software as a Service (SaaS) platform hosted by Macquarie Telecom.

Shares of the company declined Rs 10.9, or 0.42%, to trade at Rs 2,562.60. The total volume of shares traded was 23,622 at the BSE (11.38 a.m., Monday).
