Tata Elxsi, India's leading design company has posted a rise of 61.18% in net profit for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2015. During the quarter, the company posted a net profit of Rs 380.99 million as compared to Rs 236.38 million for the corresponding quarter last year.

Total Income increased by 28% to Rs 2,636.58 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2015 from Rs. 2,058.83 million in the same quarter a year ago.

EPS of the company stood at Rs 12.24 during the current quarter from Rs 7.59 in the same period last year.

Shares of the company gained Rs 11.75, or 0.63%, to settle at Rs 1,862.20. The total volume of shares traded was 567,104 at the BSE (Wednesday).
