Tata Coffee, India's largest coffee exporter, on Friday announced a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 3.24 times to Rs 436.60 million from Rs 134.70 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 15.54% to Rs 1,858.40 million, compared with Rs 1,608 million for the prior year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 6.45, or 7.15%, to trade at Rs 96.60. The total volume of shares traded was 381,177 at the BSE (11.57 a.m., Monday).
